About the Project

Islamic AI is an Islamic assistant from the umma.ru team (UMMA GROUP). The umma.ru portal has been operating since 1999 under the motto “Reliable information about Islam.” It is one of the largest Russian-language resources on the religion, with thousands of articles, books, and lectures by Shamil Alyautdinov.

Why we created it

People look for answers to religious questions every day, but ordinary search often returns scattered and contradictory information. We brought umma.ru’s trusted materials together in one assistant that answers questions directly and shows where each answer comes from.

What it draws on

• articles, books, and lectures from umma.ru;
• books and explanations by Shamil Alyautdinov;
• the Quran and Sunnah;
• fatwas and scholarly opinions.

Every answer includes links to the original sources, so you can open them and read the full context at any time.

Our principles

Honest about limitations. The assistant does not issue fatwas and does not replace a scholar. We say this clearly rather than hiding it in the fine print.

Verifiable. We show our sources instead of asking you to take our word for it.

Respect for differences of opinion. When scholars hold different views, the assistant aims to point this out rather than present one position as the only valid one.

Clear terms. Sign in through umma id and receive 50 UmmaCoins as a gift; one free question every 3 days, while a standard request costs 10 UmmaCoins.

Privacy

Sign-in is through your umma.ru account. Your chat history is stored to maintain the context of the conversation; it is not published or shared with third parties for advertising.

What’s next

You can ask questions in any language, and the assistant will answer in the language of the question. We are gradually translating the site into other languages (Russian and English are currently available), expanding our resource base, and publishing explored questions in the “Questions” section.
